The cost per day for ex-offenders released from prison who come to Eureka House is $13.33.
If an ex-offender becomes employed and earns a salary of $15,000 per year, and is in a tax bracket of 15%, he will pay $6.16 per day in income tax.

Cost per day to house a resident at Eureka House= $13.33 versus $66.00 prison cost. $66.00-$13.33 = $52.67 per day difference.

Support our Eureka Education Program (EEP)
This is a program through which Eureka House offers an opportunity for the residents to acquire diplomas and certificates in the building and automotives trades. Our residents will enroll in the local community college as full time students.
It has been proven that without an education and a marketable skill, ex-offenders are much more likely than others to be unemployed. Unfortunately, this can cause many of them to go back to their old life styles of crime and wrong choices. This is another reason Eureka House is committed to changing lives for the better while also creating a safer community.
